About Us
Family Convenience Clinic—operated by Family Focused Medicine—is a walk-in facility providing prompt, high-quality, and cost-effective care for non-emergency health concerns. Open Monday through Friday with no appointment necessary, the clinic’s board-certified providers and compassionate staff offer a welcoming environment for both new and returning patients. They diagnose and treat common illnesses and minor injuries to help patients recover quickly and comfortably. The clinic is closed on weekends to allow staff time for family and worship.

Katelyn Taylor
FNP
Katelyn Taylor is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who has been proudly serving the West Monroe community since 2016. A native of West Monroe, Katelyn’s deep-rooted connection to the region drives her passion for providing compassionate, high-quality care to local families.
She began her nursing journey at Harding University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2007. Katelyn later advanced her education by completing her Master of Science in Nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner certification at Northwestern State University in 2016.
Since joining Family Convenience Clinic that same year, Katelyn has remained dedicated to promoting wellness and meeting the diverse healthcare needs of her patients. She finds great fulfillment in building lasting relationships and making a positive impact on the health and lives of those in her community.
Dr. Don Givler
MD
Dr. Givler graduated from the Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed his Family Medicine residency at Lancaster General Hospital (Lancaster, PA). Dr. Givler has been a part of the FCC family since 2009 and remains a warm and welcome face to so many of our patients. One of his particular clinical interests is global health and he spends 1-2 months per year working in Kenya. Dr. Givler is also bilingual and has proven to be a great asset for our Spanish speaking patients. We appreciate Dr. Givler aka “Dr. Don” for his great spirit of wisdom and encouragement that he provides for our staff and patients alike!
Amy Miller
FNP-C
Amy Miller is a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of experience in nursing and a deep commitment to holistic health. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University and was certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2016. Since then, she has combined clinical expertise with a patient-centered approach to provide comprehensive and compassionate care.
Before joining Family Convenience Clinic, Amy served as a faculty member in the nursing department at the University of Louisiana Monroe for seven years, where she mentored and educated future generations of nurses. She has been a vital part of the Family Convenience Clinic team for nearly two years, bringing her passion for integrative care to the people of Ouachita Parish and surrounding communities.
Beyond her clinical role, Amy is also a regenerative farmer and a strong advocate for sustainable living and natural wellness practices. Her belief in the power of holistic health informs her approach to patient care, emphasizing prevention, education, and the mind-body connection. She takes great pride in serving her local community and helping individuals achieve lasting well-being.

Addie Morris

Known affectionately as “Miss Addie” by many, she was a beloved and vital part of the clinic team. Her warmth, dedication, and clinical skill made her a tremendous asset to the families she cared for. Outside of the clinic, Addie enjoyed spending her time tending to her “funny farm” of animals, where her compassionate nature continued to shine.
